I’m the therapist behind Sharing Space Counselling and I picked that name for a reason. Above all else, I believe that counselling is a space to share without having to worry about the impact of your words. It is a space where your concerns are never too big or too small to be heard.
Whilst I support clients of all kinds, I am particularly dedicated to providing therapy that is queer, neurodivergent and sex positive. As well as being both queer and neurodivergent myself, I have a masters degree in Gender Theory and 4 years of experience working with neurodivergent children. As a result, my counselling is a space where neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients can share the nuance of their experience without feeling like they have to spend their time educating.
My name is Efi Gauthier.
My approach is pluralistic, which means that I am trained in a variety of techniques, including cognitive behavioural therapy (developing tools to adapt your thinking), humanistic therapy (building your self-understanding) and psychodynamic therapy (exploring the impact of your past). I use this varied toolkit to offer you whatever you need in the moment.
